Hi! I'm Rolanda
...But you can also call me Landa.
RJ Expressions was born in 2015. My favourite part of photography, is the genuine expressions on my client's faces that come from lifestyle, and storytelling photography.

I'm a wife, mama of 2 earth-side kiddos and 1 angel baby, and I'm a daughter of the King!
​
When I'm not shooting or editing with a mocha in hand... you can find me camping with my family, homeschooling my daughter, chasing my toddler son, or hanging out with my husband, playing board games or watching cop shows.
​
Creativity has always been a big part of me. Creating art that people can relate to and see themselves in, lights a fire in me! My goal in every photo shoot is to capture the most special interactions between you and your loved ones that you have every day, so when you scroll through your gallery, you can say "THAT IS SO US!".

Shoot RAW. Speak RAW.
This is my business motto. RAW is an image file format used by professional photographers. It doesn't look nearly as good right out of the camera as a regular JPG will, but shooting in this format collects more data, and that file has not been processed, altered, or manipulated in the camera. This allows you to produce a higher quality image, and shape it into the most beautiful version of it possible in the post-processing phase. If your camera is set to shoot in JPG as the average person's is, the files have already been processed and compressed, and they look... satisfactory.

That's also how I want to live my life. I never want my speech to be compressed, or have someone else process it for me. I want to speak RAW... have the most amount of data possible before speaking, not let anyone else alter it for me, and take the time necessary to carefully process everything through the best artist I know (our Creator), so it can come out in the most beautiful, articulate way!
